Spring time means fun in the sun! The air is crisp & the flowers are blooming. The absence of winter, however, doesn’t mean you can neglect your skin. With the seasons changing, now is an important time to switch up your skin care routine. Here are a few of our favorite spring time beauty tips! 1.) Exfoliate! Exfoliating removes dead skin cells. This process can be rough on the skin, so it should only be done a few times a week. My favorite exfoliating product is the St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub. SIDENOTE: It’s safe to exfoliate your whole body. DIY lip scrubs, for instance, can be used to remove unsightly scars or restore softness . Combine sugar & coconut oil and apply to the lips. VOILA! Soft lips. 2.) Toner is your friend! Some omit this step for various reasons. However, toner is beneficial after cleansing and exfoliating. Toner can help to shrink pores. I like to use witch hazel or rose water. The Mario Badescu Facial Spray w./ Aloe, Herbs, and Rosewater is a great option. 3.) Moisturize Your Skin! Heavy creams and products may not be necessary, however, locking in moisture is crucial in any season. Utilize one with SPF. The POND’S brand is a great option.
