Glossy Review x Young Thug - So Much Fun

With uncheckable cadences, flawless production, and his signature out of this world pitch, Young Thug presents, So Much Fun, executively produced by J. Cole. Without a doubt, this album of work is a favorite amongst fans and for sure will end up somewhere on the top 100 albums of all time (definitely on mine!). The album is a journey through a valley of non-traditional flows, complex production, and the uniqueness we crave from Young Thug.

He opens with “Just How It Is”, where he begins his unique flow with his normal goat-talk over a Wheezy produced beat. This intro track sets the tone for the album and where you can hear his first shoutout (of many!) to the late & great Nipsey Hussle (RIP NIPSEY). The next track, “Ecstasy”, deserves an honorable mention for his impeccable flow and this crazy pscycadelic beat. The energy on this album is insane, climaxes of this album include the Lil Baby assisted, “Bad Bad Bad”, “Surf” (featuring Gunna), “Jumped Out The Window”, “Cartier Gucci Scarf” (featuring Lil Duke), and of course the finale, “The London” (featuring J. Cole and Travis Scott).

Young Thug is without a doubt, one of Atlanta’s most influential rappers and this is exactly what the summer needed. Through his production and unique style, Young Thug offers a full body of work with additional features from NAV, Lil Uzi Vert,21 Savage,Lil Keed, Future, Doe Boy, Quavo, and Juice WRLD. Young Thug offers intricate, articulate, air bending bars over beats produced by some of my favorite producers; Wheezy, Pi’erre Bourne, Southside, Supah Mario, TM88, and T-Minus.

I really love this project! Check it out!
