Travel Rx Series - Makeup Edition

Continuing with our travel prescription series, we bring you the MAKEUP EDITION! What's a trip without a beat face? Here are our makeup favs for any trip! Don't forget your brushes! Lip Balm/Lipstick: Whether you’re traveling via airplane, train, car, etc., you’ll find that your lips constantly need hydration. If you need a simple balm or moisturizer, brands like EOS and Burt’s Bees offer many options. Lipsticks can also be used to provide a pop of color! Concealer: A little concealer under the eyes and on other troublesome areas provides just enough coverage without being too heavy. Sometimes, you just don’t want to be bothered with foundation or heavy face products. When you’re on the go, concealer is the perfect choice! Powder: A pressed powder is essential for any and every trip. Powder is necessary to eliminate oil and set your concealer or foundation. It is also fairly easy to travel with. Powder eliminates shine and keeps you fresh until you arrive to your destination. Mascara: Sometimes, all you need is a pop of mascara to open up your eyes and give you a more awake look. Traveling seldom allows you time to complete a full face look. A little mascara can make all the difference to pull everything together. *Honorary Mention* Highlighter: I love highlighter and believe it can transform your entire look. A little sparkle upon the cheeks and nose can really spice up a simple look. If you’re pressed for space or just don’t want a lot of makeup on, highlighter is a great addition to your travel bag. I’m sure most of us are bringing our whole makeup collection on a trip! (Guilty!) However, these few items are essentials and can be applied on the go!
